The bucolic setting and gardens
The waiters at the Gailord restaurant are arrogant and cannot answer questions about the hotel.
We did NOT stay at the hotel; only did a day trip from Huntsville, AL for 52th wedding anniversary lunch. Arrived on Sunday, May 27, 2018. I/we were extremely disappointed that not ONE flyer or poster addressed the service our veterans had given and are still giving to this country; after all it was MEMORIAL DAY weekend. No flags were flying, no mention was made to this GREAT patriotic weekend. We have mentioned this missing part to our trip to the Opryland hotel with many of our friends and it may be a while before we return - but than DO YOU REALLY CARE???
Food was good and staff friendly.
SEE COMMENT ABOVE.
Amazing experience, beautiful hotel
very expensive, alot of extras and hidden charges/taxes, salon/spa prices very high
Enjoyed the decorations, restaurants, craft fair and shopping areas. Enjoyed exploring the areas of the hotel. Appreciated the clean, family- friendly atmosphere.
(1) Lack of organization and concern for your guests at the bus loading docks (felt like a cattle herd) (2) CONCIERGE DESK SOLD US TICKETS FOR SAT NIGHT OPRY FOR SEATS WITH NO VIEW. WE SAW THE RUFFLE OF MINNIE PEARLS SKIRT BETWEEN THE POST AND STAGE CURTAINS. I SHOULD HAVE DEMANDED A REFUND FOR THAT SHOW. (3)AFTER THE CONCERT SAT NIGHT WE WANDERED THE PARKING AREA TO FIND YOUR BUS AND THEN WERE STRANDED IN THE RAIN WAITING FOR QUITE A WHILE. WE FINALLY PAID A TAXI TO RESCUE US. NOT A GOOD EXPERIENCE.
The scenery at the hotel was beautiful. We were shuttled to the shows and that was nice. The hotel was very pricey and the self parking was exceedingly high. Beautiful and elegant hotel if you can afford to splurge.
The balcony view and comfort after a busy day was fantastic and romantic for a glass of wine with the one you love!!
What's not to like?? Even our King and Queen would love this place!!!
I was very disappointed actually...it took forever just to get into the place then despite the very expensive room you still had to pay extra and half the restaurants were closed inside for an event.
The extra costs for everything
It is a beautiful facility. We enjoyed all the gardens and the wonderful food served there. My husband was attending the QDMA meeting held there Aug. 11 -14th. Friday at a lunch at the event two waiters were so nice to me. Their names are Sherry and Jim. I needed a gluten-free lunch and that was not what was being served. They managed to get me chicken and rice instead of the lasagna. I am so grateful to them and they were so kind to me. If there is a way to let them know how much I appreciated them, please do so. Thank you. Anna Robinson
The plants in the large atria were lovely. Landscaping was exceptional.
In room coffeepot hidden under sink inside cabinet. Found when checking out. elevator nearest room out of service necessitating long hikes to rear of resort to access the third floor extra prices for wifi plus city taxes plus parking fees/room rate is just a start for each day's price poor quality food in restaurants. poor value
The hotel ameneties was great!!! Great friendly staff!
Landscaping was phenomenal
A lot of txes
This was our first time staying at Opryland and we loved seeing the lights and beds were very comfortable. Loved experiencing this with family.
We had 2 rooms, our room had a beautiful room that looked into the inside of Opryland, but the other room we had family stay in looked at the parking lot, and we had to pay the same price for both the rooms. The stay was a bit pricey and the food was outrageous. Also, hard to get reservations for places we wanted to eat.
Ambiance! I love the French Quarter style in so many of the areas and the indoor/atrium beautiful gardens! An indoor wonderland!!
No bedspread/comforter on the bed! Room and bed were beautiful but I sorely missed a comfy comforter!
Was a beautiful place to stay.
Pricey, average couple especially with children need to plan ahead in able to afford staying there. Didn't like the idea of guest being charged to park. People just visiting, yes.
Loved the gardens, close proximity to mall and grand ole opery house, excellent transportation staff with knowledgable driver, efficient service took us downtown. Loved the no smoking policy Loved the holiday decorations Loved the ease of access to and from the hotel
Given a Room on the delta level zero and we did not want it. We had a 1 1/2 month reservation for a room overlooking garden, were told at check in we could call down the next morning for a change of room but were told the hotel was booked. The staff never called back to check on us nor did they go out of their way to accommodate our original room assignment. We spent our entire visit on the convention level and ask multiple times to be moved.
